Venerable Lung Xun Visits the DDM World Center
Former President of Hua Fan University, Venerable Lung Xun, along with 16 other lay practitioners, visited the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education on 19 March 2012.
DDM’s Abbot President, Venerable Guo Dong, and President of Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies, Venerable Guo Jing, greeted the honorable guests and exchanged opinions on Buddhist studies and development during a meeting over tea.
In the meeting, Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong introduced the DDM World Center and its roles and meanings in social education.
Venerable Lung Xun emphasized the value of DDM’s role in promoting the purification of one’s mind in society. She also spoke about recent challenges encountered by Buddhist-founded education, including the challenge of finding ways to embrace both the spirit of religion and science.
The one-hour meeting concluded with group photos and exchanging gifts.
