DDMSWCF Offers Care and Financial Aid at Mianyang
The Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF) visited the quake-afflicted students at Mianyang High School in northern Sichuan, China on the 7th February 2012, and offered care and financial aid to the students.
The 3-day event was held at Mianyang High School and was conducted by Venerable Guo Pin, Venerable Chang Zen, Venerable Chang Zheng and Venerable Chang Chu from Taiwan’s DDM Sangha Community.
While the event included various well-organized activities and acknowledgement of financial aid provided to quake-affected students in May 2008, students had the opportunity to learn how to explore the power of mindfulness, to experience the meaning of living in the present, and to maintain awareness of thankfulness towards others in our heart at all times.
The event concluded with students sharing their reflections on the three-day activities that they had joyfully participated in.
