President of Pathumthani’s Sangha Community Visits the DDM Center
On 25 February 2012, the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education cordially welcomed Venerable Phraratpraiyattayaporn, the President of the Sangha Community in the Pathumthani Province of Thailand, together with thirty other Buddhist monastics.
President of the Dharma Drum Buddhist College (DDBC), Venerable Hui Min, and Managing Director of the Chan Practice Center, Venerable Guo Yuan; personally greeted the honorable guests.
The purpose of this visit was to gain an understanding of the development of Buddhism in Taiwan and to exchange opinions on Dharma teaching and practice.
Following worship in the Grand Buddha Hall, a tea party was held at the Haihui Hall of the DDBC. During the exchange, Venerable Hui Min, on behalf of Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong, gave blessings to those who were afflicted by the floods in late July last year, and expressed his concern about their current circumstances.
The day drew to a close with Venerable Hui Min and Venerable Guo Yuan showing the guests around the DDBC, the Wish Fulfilling Guanyin Hall and the Founding History Memorial Hall.
