20th to 21st A 2-day Comprehensive Foundation Chan Meditation Training
Location: At the Greenwich Prayer Space
(by the side of the Emirates Cable Car Station North Greenwich-Juilee line)

22nd to 25th 3-day Chan Meditation Silent Retreat
Location: At Buckden Tower, High St, Buckden, St Neots, Cambs PE19 5TA)
Admission: (beginner and warmed pratitioners alike, welcome)

2-day foundation training-10am to 4:30pm
(non residential, please bring your own lunch)

Ven. Chang Wu

Ven. Chang Wu is a Buddhist monastic in the Chan/Zen tradition from Dharma Drum MOuntain (DDM), Taiwan. For the past 15 years she has delivered regular classes in Buddhist philosophy and meditation to a wide range of people from different backgrounds and age groups. She leads regular meditation retreats in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada; various meditation centres in the USA, such as DDRC and CMC in New York; Los A ngeles, San Francisco, Texas, Chicago, Pittsburgh, as well as Mexico and Taiwan. Apart from leading meditation retreats, she is a teacher on Buddhism and meditation practice at the Sheng Yen Academy and Dharma Drum Sangha Univeristy in Taiwan. In addition, she played an active role in organising and participating in scholarly conferences and interfaith dialogue around the world. Ven. Chang Wu is currently the Abbess of DDM Vancouver monastery Canada. September 2016 will be her first visit the UK.

Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) is an international Buddhist spiritual, cultual, and educational foundation founded by late Chan Master Sheng Yen. The international headquarter of this organization is located at Jinshan District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. DDM is one of the most influential Buddhist organization in Chinese Buddhism. Its impact on Chan Buddhism, Buddhist circles, both Eastern and Western societies stems from the vision, charisma, and life experience of Sheng Yen.
