A sought after Chan teacher in modern time - Dharma heir of Master Sheng Yen

Date: 7th to 14th May 2016

The retreat consists of 7days intensive Chan/Zen practice in silence under the guidance of Chan teacher, Zarko. Chan retreat daily routine starts with a morning call at 4:30am, sitting starts at 5:00am and ends at 10:00pm. Each meditation practice lasts up to 30 or 45mins and in between sittings, there will be the mindful eight-form moving meditation, (light body movement) stretching and basic yoga exercise, walking meditation (in or outdoor) and of course, break time for breakfast, lunch and supper also some personal time allowance. Each day the teacher, Zarko, will give a morning and evening Chan Talk also conduct group and individual interview. Language is conducted in English. Three vegetarian meals are served each day.

Participants are expected to arrive at the venue on 7th May between 4:00pm and 5:30pm, on the last day the retreat will complete after lunch.

This is an intensive retreat, seasoned practitioners are welsome, likewise beginners too are welcome but we recommend beginners should have at least attended nine months to one year practice of Buddhist or mindfulness meditation or experienced at least one weekend or 5-day meditation retreat.

This retreat is run on a non-profit basis. Apart from the retreat costs, your donation is welcome in helping the organisation with expenses incurred in making this retreat possible. Your kindness will further help us in providing weekly free Chan classes to all.

Retreat fee: £420 per person, inclusive of full board and room sharing (twin or three beds), share facilities, beddings, blankets and free car park. Single occupancies are limited at the basis of first-come-first serve. Zarko's teaching and compassion are gifts to us. – so take this opportunity and enjoy a vacation with us.
