Ven. Guo Yuan, Abbot of the Dharma Drum Retreat Centre, New York has agreed to conduct two meditation events here in the UK. Don’t miss this rare opportunity.

A 2 day Introduction to Chan Meditation held at The Prayer Space, Chandlers Avenue, Aperture Building, 2ndFloor, SE10 0GE – nearest Underground Station: North Greenwich – Jubilee Line on July 13th and 14th. See attached leaflet for full details and application form.Details

The Introduction to Chan Meditation is immediately followed by a 3 day Chan Retreat held on July 15th-18th at a location to be advised later.

Please see the leaflet for details and pricing.

2-Day Introduction to Meditation
Although the methods of meditation are simple and straightforward, it is best to practice them under the guidance of a teacher. Without a teacher, a meditator will not be able to correct their own mistakes that, without correction, could lead to problems or lack of useful results. In our weekend meditation class, you will learn the fundamentals of sitting meditation, including proper bodily posture (sitting on a cushion or a chair), relaxation, and basic methods of concentration. In addition, you’ll learn about the proper environment, equipment, and timing, as well as self-massage and important coconcepts related to the process of meditation.

This event is followed by a 3-day Meditation Retreat, location to be announced.
