DDM Chicago Shares Buddhist Teachings and Practices at the Northwest Interfaith Friends’ Event

On the evening of 30 September, 2012, Dharma Drum Mountain in Chicago (DDM Chicago) attended the Northwest Interfaith Friends’ event, where volunteers from DDM Chicago introduced the ideas and teachings of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, as well as an introduction and information on Buddhism and Buddhist practices.

This was an interfaith event, where representatives from the different religions could share, introduce, and discuss their particular faiths for better and mutual understanding. In addition to Chinese Buddhist representatives, people from Christian, Jewish, Sikh and Catholic faiths also attended the event. It was truly an opportunity to better understand and appreciate the different beliefs and teachings of different faiths.
