Celebrating the Inauguration of DDM Practice Center in LA

On the morning of 27 May 2012, a ceremony for celebrating the inauguration of DDM Practice Center in Los Angeles was held under the direction of Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong.

The ceremony began with Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong and Venerable Yin Hai, Abbot of Fayin Monastery, slowly unveiling a statue of the Buddha whilst Buddhist holy scriptures were chanted in the background by more than 400 faithful disciples.

In addition to the Abbot President, Abbot of DDM’s Chan Meditation Center in New York Venerable Guo Xing, Secretary General of DDM Social Welfare and Charity Foundation Venerable Guo Qi, Managing Director of DDM Vancouver Practice Center Venerable Guo Zhou, Managing Director of International Development and Development Department of DDM Venerable Guo Jiann, were all present, participating in the prayer rituals and offering their warmest blessings.

Abbot President Venerable Guo Dong said that the success of DDM Practice Center in Los Angeles can be attributed to the dedication and commitment of every faithful disciple of the Dharma, as well as the vision and efforts of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen. The Abbot President reminded those in attendance that we should be constantly working hard towards the dissemination of principles and ideas of Dharma Drum Mountain, enabling more people to get in touch with the wisdom of the Dharma.

Following the inauguration ceremony, the Center hosted prayer rituals and The Compassionate Samadhi Water Repentance Ceremony for LA’s faithful disciples to cultivate their merits.
