DDM Malaysia Participates in the World Chinese Book Fair for Dharma Joy

Dharma Drum Mountain Malaysia (DDM Malaysia) participated in The Ninth World Chinese Book Fair from 16 to 25 November 2007 at the MINES Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur. This followed a major fundraising activity on 9 November 2007, and was the sixth time DDM Malaysia took part in this major event for the propagation of Dharma joy and DDM's ideas.

DDM Malaysia participated in three other major events: Foguanshan Spring Book Fair, the Buddhist Culture Festival and the International Avalokitesvara (Guanyin) Dharma Assembly. The aim was to introduce Venerable Master Sheng Yen's compassionate and humanistic ideas to the people of Malaysia, and continuing to "uplift the character of humanity and building a pure land on earth".

Like previous years, this year's events were prosperous and successful. The sincere and productive efforts of volunteers were rewarded as Venerable Master's Chinese and English publications, especially the pocket publications, were enthusiastically received by the people.

DDM Malaysia also held a teaching program, the one-and-half hour Eight Form Moving Meditation, and shared the interest and joy of engaging in the practice of Chan meditation onstage.

All volunteers of DDM Malaysia experienced a sense of fulfillment and personal growth during the event, with Dharma wisdom, and they also fully contributed to the propagation of Dharma joy and peace-building in society.
