DDM Malaysia Brings Peace to People at WCB 2006

Dharma Drum Mountain Malaysia for the fifth time participated in the 8th World Chinese Books Fair 2006 (WCB 2006) from 17 to 26 November 2006.

Since Venerable Master Sheng Yen came to Malaysia for the Dharma teaching in 2001, WCB has become one of the significant channels to introduce Venerable Master Sheng Yen's thoughts and the Dharma to people and to raise the profile of DDM Malaysia.

Nearly fifty volunteers of DDM Malaysia joined the activities this time and helped out with the exhibition of DDM's publications. Their dedication has fully demonstrated the passion and vigor of DDM and their ages range from thirteen to fifty years old. In addition to the pocket books, a series of publications about the introduction of Chinese Buddhism written by Venerable Master Sheng Yen was widely welcomed as well. The newest publication of the Master, Song of Mind, was also one of the best sellers.

During the exhibition, two volunteers, Zhongbiao Lin and Guoqiang Huang, illustrated the significance of Fivefold Spiritual Renaissance Campaign, which has been promoted actively by Venerable Master Sheng Yen, in modern society. They personally led the people in the exercise of Dharma Drum Eight Form Moving Meditation with the assistance of three other volunteers and with an easy-learning tone.

DDM Malaysia was hoping to show those busy people how to relax and attained a well balanced mind and physical body with an introduction of the Master's publications.

Through the 10-day event, DDM Malaysia has greatly promoted the idea of Spiritual Environment in Malaysia and demonstrated the way of attaining peace in mind.
