New Establishment in Vancouver Chan Meditation Centre

New Establishment in Vancouver Chan Meditation Centre

Dharma Drum Vancouver Centre announces its new establishment in Vancouver, the Vancouver Chan Meditation Centre, which opened its doors on March 8.

In order to fulfill the increasing demand for bilingual activities at DDVC in Richmond in the past years and resolve the issue of limited space, we have rented a 1,200 square feet site in Vancouver, near the intersection of Cambie and Broadway, and will be offering English programs and workshops. To continue Master Sheng Yen’s lifework of spreading the teaching of Chan Buddhism in the West, this location provides ease of access to the working population, young people, and other English speaking residents.

Please come and join us in building a harmonious and caring community in this new location, and, at the same time, deepen your Chan practices. We hope to better benefit the people of the Greater Vancouver Area and, together, make our world a better place.

From March 8 to 16, we are offering free meditation sessions to people who are interested in learning meditation. Our weekly practice sessions are on Tuesday from 6-7 pm, Thursday from 7-8:30 pm, and Saturday morning from 10 am-noon. If there is demand for more meditation sessions, we will consider adding more in the future. Please share this news with other people and bring your friends along.
