DDM Malaysia holds a Memorial Event in remembrance of Master Sheng Yen
On 31 January 2012, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhism Information Center in Malaysia (DDM Malaysia) held a memorial event in remembrance of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, the founder of Dharma Drum Mountain.
The event began with Venerable Chang Hui leading every participant in relaxing their vexed mind and stressed body for about twenty minutes. After that, the participants watched videos introducing the Master’s past inspiring living and compassionate philosophies.
Venerable Chang Hui said that although the Master had relinquished his dharma body over three years ago, one could still learn and benefit much from the Master’s teachings and philosophies.
The memorial event drew to an end with every participant sharing reflections on the Master’s philosophies, the Dharma, and the idea of ‘Protecting the Spiritual Environment’.
