On 15 April, 2011, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association (DDMBA) in United States of America hosted a 3-day Chan camp. This was the third 360-Degree Chan Camp DDMBA hosted in San Francisco, for which a total of 18 students attended.
On May 14, 2011, Vesak Day was celebrated in Hornsby Mall. The event was organised by Venerable Ban Ruo, a Sydney-based Chan Buddhist monk, who has been the Buddhist chaplain in the NSW Police for five years.
