On the night of June 8 2007, DDM Michigan launched its two-day camp at the Metteyya Buddha Village, the practice site for followers of DDM Michigan. This is the second year that DDM has hosted the touring family camp in the United States, with Michigan as the first stop. The camp activities were led by four of DDM's Venerables from Taiwan.

Dharma Drum Singapore has been established for 11 years. It upholds Master Sheng Yen's vision to "uplift the character of humanity and build a pure land on earth" by proactively promoting the Buddhadharma and Spiritual Environmentalism and is a centre of Buddhist learning.
The Buddhist elder, Dr. C. T. Shen, successful entrepreneur in the United States’ shipping industry and Vice President of the Buddhist Association of the United States (BAUS), passed away on 27 November 2007 at the age of 95 years.
With the aim of helping Cambodian youths walk out of the shadow of their nation's miserable history, the Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association delegation took part in the five-day Cambodia Young Leaders Summit in Sien Reap City, northern Cambodia, from 15 to 19 November 2007.

Dharma Drum Mountain Malaysia (DDM Malaysia) participated in The Ninth World Chinese Book Fair from 16 to 25 November 2007 at the MINES Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur. This followed a major fundraising activity on 9 November 2007, and was the sixth time DDM Malaysia took part in this major event for the propagation of Dharma joy and DDM's ideas.

A weekend retreat was held by the Sydney DDM meditation group in the Lower Blue Mountains from 15 - 16 December 2007. To cater for both experienced meditators and newcomers, a mixture of activities was included to assist newcomers to gradually transition to serious sittings. The program incorporated a singing meditation and a video for group discussion on the application of Buddhist concepts in dealing with relationships in daily living. Apart from walking meditation, sitting meditation and tea meditation was also part of the day's program.
On the evening of 9 November 2007, Dharma Drum Mountain Malaysia hosted a fundraising dinner party to fund the construction of a permanent DDM Centre in Malaysia. The Abbot President of DDM from Taiwan, Venerable Guo Dong, was present to deliver the personal, warm blessings from Venerable Master Sheng Yen. DDM's Venerable Guo Qi and Venerable Chang Chi were also present.

On the afternoon of 10 November, 2007 over thirty disciples of Dharma Drum Mountain in Singapore gathered at Changi Airport to welcome the arrival of Abbot President of Dharma Drum Mountain, Venerable Guo Dong, as well as Venerable Guo Qi, Venerable Chang Chi and Vice President of General Association of Dharma Upholders, Mr Chow Wenjin.

Despite the airport in Taiwan being closed several times on 6 October 2007 due to the ravaging attack of Typhoon Krosa, Venerable Guo Qi together with Mr and Mrs Rong, vice-president of the Association of DDM Dharma Upholder, still arrived in Hong Kong early and safely for the special event. The significance of this event was shown by their support.

Dharma Drum Mountain's branch office in Vancouver, Canada celebrated the center's first anniversary since establishment in September 2006. To celebrate this wonderful occasion, DDM Vancouver prepared a number of activities from 25 August to 16 September, 2007, such as the Samadhi Water Repentance Assembly, the Ksitigarbha (Di Zhuang) Assembly, the Seven-Day Chan Retreat, a talk on the Dharma Drum Lineage of Chan School and a Garden Party. Altogether over a thousand DDM followers in Vancouver gathered to celebrate the event.
On 25 August 2007, a group of youths from the Buddhist Society of National University Singapore sat in the sombre Chan Hall and quietly chewed raisins with a one-minded approach for Chan (Zen) practice.
